Terms of use

Last updated: 14 October 2026 (version 2026-10-14)

What KianCan is

KianCan (kiancan.com) is a reading-practice app for children who find reading hard. A parent or guardian uses it together with their child: daily sessions, decodable stories, a mic reading check and Snap a page for school books.

Not a diagnosis

KianCan is a practice tool. It does not diagnose dyslexia or any other condition, and it does not replace a teacher, a specialist or a formal assessment. The mic reading check can be wrong, so your own judgement always comes first. If you are worried about your child’s reading, speak to their school or a qualified specialist.

Your account

Fair use

To keep KianCan running, each parent can use per day up to 300 reading-check lines, 40 snapped pages and 30 new AI stories. The library stories and daily sessions have no limit.

Availability

We work to keep KianCan available, but cannot promise it will always be online or free of mistakes. Features may change.

Liability

KianCan is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions made based on the app’s results. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law in Malta or the EU.

You can delete your account at any time in Family → Privacy & data. We may close accounts that misuse the service.
